I understand now why people do the 25-ticket buy to do the big-stage shows: Because they are fucking awesome.
I don’t know that I’ve ever felt a half hour breeze by as quickly as the one that I got to play for last night did, but it was amazing. The soundguys were true professionals, the headliners were warm and welcoming, and the club was friendly and accommodating. Lots of good snaps shot, hopefully some video that will be postable.
The set from tonight:
Astoria
Sad Songs
Right On
Home
Wonderful Lie
Trouble
Not Giving Up (w/ Liz Berlin from Rusted Root)
New York
All fit nicely into our 30 minutes of set time. I got to catch up with all my friends, and meet a few new ones. I’m really glad I did this, and am grateful to everyone who bought tickets to tonight’s event. Thank you, everybody!
Love and good night,
Paul
