This song will work your arms right! Each hit in the verse is a downstroke, with a muting downstroke immediately following. I play the Dm7 in the fifth position, the C in the third, the Bb in the first.
It’s about time for me to start working on a new album, and I’m already in full swing! A side-gig for a website last year afforded me a really nice tube mic and some gear, so I’m going to take another shot at home recording, with Dead Pressed Flowers’ old helmsman, Ryan Miller, trying out…
Just like with Calling You Out, this follows the drone-chord key of E. Here are the funky fingerings you’ll come up against here:
“Calling You Out” isn’t necessarily the easiest song to learn, but once you know the chords, you’ll find that it’s the easiest song to play. Like much of Here Goes Nothing, “Calling You Out” is written in the key of E, and is a typical show of my love of drone chords. I’ve tabbed it…

It’s out there, we’ve seen it, and now that she’s appeared on the Tonight Show, it may be over. That’s as high as it goes, right? You get on Jay Leno, the world gives you a round of applause, we all move on. Maybe. Or maybe, the Arc Music Factory pumps all of their resources…
