I’m in the process of moving from Sunset Park to Harlem, and the studio stuff is going to be the last stuff to be packed and moved. Yesterday I went and packed a few boxes, and then figured since it was all hanging around anyway, might as well use some of this stuff and work on the album!
“Please” now has 2 guitars and vocals. I’ll be sending a dirty mix straight to Pittsburgh so Jesse Prentiss can sing some backup, then I’ll see where we are. I want to do this right, but adding too much is a bad idea with this kind of song….
….unlike with “Why Are We Still On The Phone,” which I want to lush up all over the place. I’m hoping to get my hand on an electric 12-string to do some lead guitar for it, but for now I’ve been just slathering the thing in background vocals. I’ve decided I like this song — it’s a neat poppy thing and I want to make it shine for you.
